Christian Holydays - as Public Holidays in Denmark

Christian Holydays since 1536
The Danes traditionally celebrate five very important holy occasions and holidays during a year - which has been a great custom for numerous generations - and is part of the Danes public holiday tradition based upon the yearly Christian Calendar that includes Christmas (Jul) - Easter (Påske) - Great Prayer Day (Store Bededag) - Ascension Day (Kristi himmelfartsdag) - and Whitsun-Pentecost (Pinse) - as the Danish Vikings fortunately chose Christianity during the 900s, as their faith - and the Danes have been Protestants - and belonging to the Evangelical Lutheran faith since The Protestant Reformation in 1536.
