The Danes celebrate their Christmas Eve - all over the Danish Kingdom - on December 24th - and the Danes just love all of the Christmas traditions - which is marked all over Denmark. On Christmas Eve - December 24th - and after a hefty Christmas Dinner with roasted pork and duck - the decorated Christmas tree (Juletræ) is lit - often with real candles - and all the presents are stored under the tree. It is a custom that everyone after dinner dances around the Christmas tree - and sings all the old traditional Christmas songs and carols. After this ceremony - the gifts are dispersed and unpacked. Normally Christmas Eve lasts to about 12:00 midnight.
