THE DANISH NATIONAL ANTHEMS
Denmark has two national anthems. "Kong Christian stod ved høje mast” (King Christian stood by the lofty mast)
- is an old national anthem from 1830 - but mostly used by the Danish royal family and during official events. The most popular anthem among the Danes is "Der er et yndigt land" (There is a Cute Country) from 1844 and written by the Danish poet Adam Oehlenschläger and used for non royal events.
